Open up, discover and re-discover!
Dear discoverers and explorers,
It is the tenth time! We are opening up, one more time we are re-discovering Prishtina. In many punctuations throughout the city, we are inviting you to discover meaningful and bold ideas, concerns, and re-discover corners, places and spaces of Prishtina. We are doing this with artists from Europe and the World, with our partnership with IN SITU and partners, that is already 13 years old.
We are temporary transforming spaces for visitors to re-discover ourselves and our surrounding. In a pop-up pharmacy of Eva Bubla in Palace of Youth you can discover the cures of Mother Nature’s for humans and more-than-human life forms. You can experience the sounds of Donika Rudi that shout out the critical impact of air pollution on our health and the environment. Meet the Atlas, the clown in Mother Theresa and re-discover how to befriend pigeons, trees and other creatures.
This time, we invite you to discover the poetry and playfulness of Mother Theresa through [The Frame] of Electrico28, where you sit in a chair, privileged with what only you can hear of the everyday life passing by. Later on, stop, think for a while and re-discover what Juan Ignacio Tula discovered through repetitive rotation of his Cyr wheel guiding us into a dervish dance and into a never-ending quest for universal and personal sharing.
If you are into sharing, open up, share with us a gesture, discover Sauf Le Dimanche and they will give you back a special dance for you, re-discovering your gesture. They are sharing their dance also with our friends at the Retirement Home, re-discovering the ballade, where everyone finds their rhythm in a dancing gentle breeze. A memory, permanence, and finitude can be re-discovered with Cristina Madonaldo in the City Park, where in a comfortable environment you can engage together in an inner journey full of discovery.
Re-discovering co-habitants of our public space, fellow citizens is never enough. This time we invite you in ODA, in a more settled environment to re-discover togetherness with strangers. Created by 600 Highwaymen, this assembly is a cards-guided experience that is enacted by you and other people you meet in our common space in our daily life.
We are very happy we can propose you many ways of discovery and re-discovery. Open up, come out and get inspired, discover us in many places and different times that are laid out in our program.
We are looking forward to this joint discovering journey to be remembered. Florent Mehmeti, Artistic Director, HAPU – Festival of Art in Public Space
