“Speed the plow” is a play focusing on the brutal nature of the Hollywood and the film industry in general. Bobby has his new position and the power that this position gives him. Fox tells him that he met a film star Doug Brown and he is available to do a film with him. Hollywoodmid-level producers Bobby Gould and Charlie Fox engage in a verbal boxing match centered on the eternal debate of art versus money. The trouble begins when Gould tasks her assistant Karen to read and review the novel. There are things going on between Bobby & Karen and she doesn’t choose the means to get the financing from Bobby for the script where she would play.
