“Marrja Zezë” is a diasporic platform dedicated to mental health and freedom of being, through personal stories, creative recreation and socio-artistic performance events. The concept, founded and led by Jehonë Jahaj, combines poetry and other performance arts, interactive storytelling and ritual practices with the public to create safe spaces, individual empowerment and collective healing through intergenerational forgiveness.
This event will take place in the form of a “burial of shame”, reliving the first night of “Marrja Zezë” held on November 9, 2019 – a symbolic act to bury the forces that prevent us from living freely and being who we want.
A R B Ë R E S H Ë is more than a musical project – it is a return to her roots. Raised in the diaspora, she found in music a place that truly felt like hers. Self-taught and multi-instrumentalist, she moves freely between genres, guided by instinct and feeling, with a deep and intuitive connection to Albanian folk songs – melodies that sleep in the subconscious, waiting to be reawakened. Through her interpretations, A R B E R E S H E brings them back to the present – breathing in the echoes of the past and herself.
