The surroundings have an impact on our lives way before we develop the sense one’s self, even way before we see for the first time. We grow from this world, the way the apples grow from the trees, in one of the most complex, magical, and intriguing journeys of our lifetimes. The soundscape of our surroundings impact us even in the womb during our journey. Ode to Life explores the journey through one of the first senses that a developing fetus develops – the sense of hearing and the physical feeling. Starting from the vibrations of surrounding sounds, to the recognition of voices, you can go through nine stages of soundscaping: love, me, language, cultural identity, architectonic landscape, open spaces, the soul of the ‘city’, one’s self, advent – we are here.
A perspective from within mother’s belly. A construction, in an open space. Through an octophonic sound projection the inside influences the outside.
