ODA Theatre is opening a call for participants in the project “Common Ground: Art Between Generations”, a program that connects young women and girls and retired women to create public art and contemporary crafts together.
This project aims to create a common space for dialogue, exchange and collaboration, where girls and women of different generations work together through process-based work to develop a public performance and a series of contemporary craft objects.
What does the program include?
Participants will participate in 10–15 creative sessions, where they will work on:
Collaboration with a group of senior women over the age of 65, in the processes of creation.
Creation of a site-specific public performance in Prishtina.
Development of crafts such as: jewelry, textiles, decorative objects, other contemporary craft forms.
Intergenerational exchange of knowledge and new artistic approaches.
The workshops will be mentored by the ODA Theatre team and professionals who will facilitate the collaborative process.
Girls and young women and retired women will work together to:
To jointly develop the content of the performance in public space, integrating elements of craft and collective memory.
To finalize the artistic works that will then be presented publicly.
During this period, the performance in a public space and the final presentation of the co-created artistic work will be presented publicly.
Who can apply?
The call is open to: young women and girls aged 18–30, including: young artists, students, practitioners of creative and artistic fields, interested and passionate about art, ready and willing to engage in collaborative practices, performance, collaborative creative and organizational work.
